Key Responsibilities

As a Sales Engineer, you will:

  • Develop and deliver professional, compliant proposals within client-defined timeframes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proposals meet cost, manufacturing, and installation requirements.
  • Provide technical support to the sales team, aiding in customer site visits and proposal reviews.
  • Prepare and review the commercial aspects of bids, ensuring accurate pricing and comprehensive coverage of services.
  • Create and refine presentations and proposal documents, promoting best practices in layout and content.
  • Maintain close communication with production to align proposals with operational capabilities.
  • Manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality.
  • Support the sales process through hands-on involvement, including client engagement and relationship building.

Requirements

  • Proficiency with Office 365 tools, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in an engineering or technical sales environment with strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce technical specifications and quotations.
  • A methodical approach, comfortable working with data and numbers to inform decision-making.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites and hold a valid driving licence.
  • Desirable: Experience with AutoCAD or SolidWorks for reading and producing technical drawings.
