Key Responsibilities
As a Sales Engineer, you will:
- Develop and deliver professional, compliant proposals within client-defined timeframes.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proposals meet cost, manufacturing, and installation requirements.
- Provide technical support to the sales team, aiding in customer site visits and proposal reviews.
- Prepare and review the commercial aspects of bids, ensuring accurate pricing and comprehensive coverage of services.
- Create and refine presentations and proposal documents, promoting best practices in layout and content.
- Maintain close communication with production to align proposals with operational capabilities.
- Manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Support the sales process through hands-on involvement, including client engagement and relationship building.
Requirements
- Proficiency with Office 365 tools, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience in an engineering or technical sales environment with strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce technical specifications and quotations.
- A methodical approach, comfortable working with data and numbers to inform decision-making.
- Willingness to travel to client sites and hold a valid driving licence.
- Desirable: Experience with AutoCAD or SolidWorks for reading and producing technical drawings.
