We are working with our Galway based client as they look to expand their team and hire a permanent Quality Manufacturing Engineer. You will be responsible for ensuring product quality on the production floor, collaborating with the team, and maintaining clear communication.
Responsibilities:
Perform daily walkarounds to check product quality, documentation, and gauging.
Assist operators in machine setup.
Ensure Quality of First Off and meet cycle time targets.
Ensure documentation (e.g., SOPs, Work Orders, Tooling Setup Sheets) is accurate and completed promptly.
Adhere to QMS requirements.
Maintain and communicate quality standards.
Train others in quality requirements.
Support problem-solving through A3 meetings and collaborate with Engineering and Quality.
Make informed decisions on the production floor.
Ensure product quality while optimizing productivity.
Work with Cell Leads/Engineering Manager to improve tooling and processes.
Foster a lean mindset to maximize efficiency and performance.
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a machining environment, preferably in medical device manufacturing.
Degree or Higher Certificate in Mechanical Engineering (or related field) is preferred.
Strong understanding of statistics, measurement system analysis, and process capability studies.
Strong analytical skills and proven problem-solving ability.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Teams).
ISO9000, ISO13485 experience is a plus.
Experience with new product introduction and process transfers is advantageous.
Strong teamwork, communication, and attention to detail.
