We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced National Events Co-Ordinator to join a well-known not-for-profit organisation based here in Cork.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Fundraising Team Lead to initiate, plan, design, execute events on a national and regional level, ensuring income targets are met.
To be successful in this role, you must be self-motivated, organised, structured, and have good people management and customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, control and feedback for events both nationally and regionally ensuring income targets are met.
Full profit and loss ownership and accountability for events managed.
Maintain and grow national and regional events – driving year on year engagement and profitability.
Creation of new events on regional and national scale.
Maintain and build relationships with Regional Development Officers, Fundraising Branches and volunteers to support growth and ensure rota management.
Oversee and support volunteers at events as key point of contact.
Ensure permits, permissions, insurance and legislation are in place for all events.
Provide training, information, and support for all volunteers attending events.
Work with the Communications team to deliver publicity for and coverage of events.
Implement an effective reporting system to track activity and outputs (using in-house CRM system and business intelligence tools).
Experience
Proven experience in a comparable project management/events/fundraising role.
Experience of organising and running events on a large scale and working with multiple stakeholders.
Strong evidence of continuous professional development and qualification relevant to the role is desirable.
Ability to deliver targets and goals with a flair for business development and the ability to develop and achieve results.
Must have the ability to operate independently with innovative spirit and to forge strong, lasting relationships with key stakeholders.
Comfortable in a cold-calling environment.
Excellent interpersonal skills - able to express ideas and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams. Be open-minded with the ability to recognise good ideas.
Excellent time management and experience multi-tasking across concurrent projects.
Excellent verbal, written presentation/IT skills and communication skills.
Must have full clean driving license
Must be willing to work evenings/weekends when needed
