An exciting opportunity for an experienced Manufacturing Engineering Technician to join a leading electronics manufacturing company based in Ringaskiddy, Cork.This is a permanent shift position. The role reports to Manufacturing Engineering Team Leader working within the Operations group and is responsible for supporting the equipment and processes required to produce High reliability Electronic Circuit Card Assemblies. What You’ll Do:

  • Keep Things Running Smoothly: Maintain and troubleshoot Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and Plated Through Hole (PTH) equipment, ensuring everything is in top working condition.

  • Boost Quality and Output: Monitor build quality, identify yield issues, and drive improvements in assembly processes.

  • Maximise Machine Uptime: Carry out preventative maintenance and ensure equipment across the facility (SMT, PTH, Conformal Coating, Laser Marking, Cleaning & Inspection) runs efficiently and safely.

  • Be Involved in Exciting New Launches (NPI): Collaborate with engineers to prepare stencils, jigs, and programs for new product introductions.

  • Get Technical: Program and debug automated manufacturing equipment.

  • Support & Innovate: Work on lean flow improvements, assist with new equipment installations, and explore additive manufacturing opportunities.

  • Keep it Organised: Manage spare parts inventory and keep workspaces and storage areas clean and efficient.

  • Share Your Knowledge: Train operators and fellow technicians when needed.

  • Stay Safe: Always follow health and safety standards—and encourage others to do the same.

  • Stay Flexible: Be ready to travel when needed and step in to support the team wherever you can.

  • Think Lean: Always look for ways to reduce waste and improve processes.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience: 2+ years in an electronics manufacturing environment or a qualified trade background with relevant industrial experience.

  • Know-How: Familiar with Lean principles and continuous improvement practices.

  • Education: Level 6 qualification in Electronics, Mechatronics, Mechanical/Electrical/Automation Technology, or similar.

  • A proactive technician who enjoys solving problems and takes ownership of their work.

  • Someone who works well independently, but also values collaboration.
