Maintenance Planner

The Maintenance Planner is responsible for proactive planning of maintenance work, including job prioritization, resource allocation, downtime mitigation, and continuous improvement of the Work Management System (WMS).

Key Responsibilities: (Full job spec on request)

  • Work Management: Assess, prioritize, and plan maintenance tasks using the SAP Next system, ensuring all WMS stages are followed: Notification, Gatekeeping, Planning, Scheduling, Execution, and Review.

  • Job Planning: Prepare detailed job plans, including required documents, drawings, materials, permits, and cost estimates.

  • Scheduling & Coordination: Schedule planned downtime with Operations and collaborate closely with the Membrane & Media Engineering team.

  • Continuous Improvement: Review work order durations and identify continuous improvement opportunities. Support PM optimization and the integration of new equipment into maintenance systems.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with Quality, EHS, and Engineering teams to achieve maintenance and business goals.

  • SOP & Compliance: Support the development and update of Maintenance SOPs. Participate in audits to ensure quality compliance.

  • Performance Tracking: Track and report on KPIs such as schedule attainment, labor utilization, work order backlog, and cost control.

  • Vendor & Contract Management: Assist in managing maintenance contracts, including vendor service reviews and purchase requisitions.

Education & Experience:

  • Qualification: Trades qualified or Engineering/Science Degree or equivalent.

  • Experience: Minimum 3+ years in manufacturing, preferably in Medical Device or Pharmaceutical industries. Experience with SAP Next and knowledge of Reliability Excellence (Rx) is an advantage.

  • Skills: Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with GMP requirements and strong computer skills (ERP, CMMS, MS Office).

  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • High energy, enthusiasm, and willingness to learn and take responsibility.
