The Job:

Opportunities like this do not come up very often, we are currently working exclusively with a manufacturing company based in Co. Offaly to hire a Country Sales Manager to lead their sales strategy within Ireland. As Country Manager you will report directly to the International Business Director of the company, you will be the main commercial interface between Ireland and the European HQ. You will be fully responsible for Sales and Business Development.


This position can be based anywhere in Ireland however nationwide travel to pharmaceutical customers will be required.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for identifying and executing new business opportunities within the Irish and UK pharmaceutical market, providing market insights for the development of regional marketing strategies for new business.
  • Conduct customer visits and perform research to understand current and emerging customer needs and requirements.
  • Manage sales processes, tenders and project management including new product introductions, costing/pricing requests etc.
  • Responsible for the Sales Budget fulfilment (MBO) and profitability of current and new client’s business.
  • Regularly evaluating the efficiency of corporate procedures based on organisational objectives and apply improvements.
  • Actively contributing to the elaboration of the yearly budget of the plant.
  • Development of corporate strategies and their implementation ensuring the profitability of the plant.
  • Local and Group reporting for the management (forecasting, analysis of cost and deviations).
  • Review and/or formulate policies and promote their implementation.


Requirements:

  • Sales Leadership: Proven track record of at least 5-7 years in a senior sales role, with a minimum of 3 years in a managerial position.
  • Market Knowledge: Extensive experience in sales to the pharmaceutical industry, with a deep understanding of the local market dynamics, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
  • Strategic Planning: Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies and plans to achieve business objectives.
  • Team Management: Experience in leading, mentoring, and developing high-performing sales teams, with a focus on achieving targets and driving growth.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Strong background in building and maintaining relationships with key customers, stakeholders, and partners.
  • Financial Acumen: Proficiency in managing budgets, forecasting sales, and analyzing financial reports to make data-driven decisions.
  • Negotiation Skills: Proven ability to negotiate and close high-value deals, with a focus on maximizing profitability and customer satisfaction.
  • Performance Monitoring: Experience in setting performance metrics, monitoring sales performance, and implementing corrective actions to ensure targets are met.
