Business Development Manager

A well-established leading Irish chemical manufacturer is currently looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join their team. Covering a region from Galway to Dublin, the Business Development Manager will have a hands-on approach to help drive business growth through strategic planning and relationship management. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced BD Manager to work with a growing company across the Food, Brewing, Engineering, Pharma, and Dairy sectors. The company is situated in Cork and occasional travel to the office will be required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Growth of sales – the main priority of the role is to expand and acquire new business.
  • Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct market research to identify new customers and identify their pains.
  • Arrange meetings with prospective clients.
  • Present to customers and send quotes to a high standard.
  • Keep track and monitor sales, revenues, and keep the CRM updated daily.
  • Introduce new products into new and existing accounts.
  • Development of new business across all sectors.
  • Build long-term relationships with new customers.
  • Provide regular feedback and updates to the team and manager.

Requirements:

  • Level 8 or 9 Science, Chemical or Food Science qualification is an advantage.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Knowledge of the food/chemical industry is desirable.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strategic thinker with analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales management tools.
  • Motivated self-starter with a passion for sales and achieving results.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to adjust strategies based on changing market conditions.
  • Full clean Drivers License is required.
