Our client, a well-established manufacturing company, is seeking am Accounts Assistant to join their team in Longford. This role is ideal for candidates with a finance education or experience to work in a fast-paced environment with lots of opportunities to learn and progress. Permanent position working onsite.
Key Responsibilities of Accounts Assistant :
Dispatch & Invoicing – Reconcile haulage sheets and dispatches, ensuring all items are invoiced correctly.
Credit Control & Accounts Receivable – Monitor customer credit terms, process invoices, manage aged debtor listings, and follow up on payments.
Stock Control – Support stock-taking processes, update pricing, and generate reports for management.
Accounts Preparation – Assist with monthly accounts, reconciliation of subcontractor invoices, and margin analysis.
Revenue & Tax Compliance – Support VAT preparation and reporting on RCT records.
General Finance Support – Work closely with the Finance Manager to ensure the smooth operation of all financial functions.
Ideal Qualifications of Accounts Assistant :
2+ years of administrative experience in a finance or manufacturing environment OR a finance graduate or PQ Accountant pursuing ACCA
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
