Supply Chain Supervisor

Our client, a leading electronics manufacturer based in Ringaskiddy, Cork is looking for a permanent Supply Chain Supervisor to join their team.

The Supply Chain Supervisor reports to the Operations Manager and will oversee the organisation of people, equipment, and processes across Planning, Purchasing, Supplier Development, Customer Service and Logistics. This is a leadership position with approximately 10 direct reports.

Responsibilities:

  • Confirm resources align with purchase orders, allocate team resources, and ensure balanced workloads in Procurement, Planning, Supplier Development, Customer Service, and Logistics.

  • Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Engineering to achieve sales targets, enforce safety standards, and uphold quality and timelines.

  • Set and monitor employee goals, evaluate performance, and support motivation and communications. Coordinate hiring and training with HR to enhance team flexibility and growth.

  • Develop and monitor KPIs (e.g., On Time Delivery, Inventory Accuracy, Absenteeism). Track progress against purchasing, shipping, and customer service targets, addressing gaps with corrective actions.

  • Ensure accurate inventory levels, control customer-owned inventory, and oversee materials for aftermarket use.

  • Ensure adherence to Known Consignor standards, Dangerous Goods regulations, and import/export trade requirements.

  • Identify improvement opportunities in the Supply Chain using Lean and Continuous Improvement techniques; support innovation to meet evolving business needs.

  • Maintain ERP data integrity, run inventory reports to detect discrepancies, and manage accurate records, especially for customer-owned inventory.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years leading and managing teams in a regulated manufacturing environment.

  • A qualification or relevant experience in Supply Chain, Planning and Logistics Management or related Business discipline.

  • An Engineering qualification or experience in Electronic/Electrical Engineering is an advantage.

  • SAP experience is desirable.

  • Lean Manufacturing experience is an advantage.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively.

  • Excellent organisational and problem solving skills.
