An exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our client, a Cork-based project consultancy on a permanent contract. This role will involve work on a range of projects, including Commercial, Retail, Hotel, Residential, Educational and Industrial. The successful Engineer will be responsible for working as part of a team whilst liaising with Clients, Contractors and Design Teams. Reporting to a Director, the candidate’s duties will include carrying out designs, inspections, and liaising with design team members and contractors.
Role Requirements:
Good communication skills, especially the ability to translate designs into comprehensive drawings/information for construction.
Experience in leading the civil engineering site development design and construction projects (primarily residential projects ranging in scale from 50 to 500 units).
Knowledge of the requirements of the Irish planning system especially with regards to civil design.
Production of Drainage/Utility/Service design including - Stormwater Design, Foul Sewer Design, Watermain design, Bulk Earthworks & Levels, Lines/Signs and Traffic Calming (within residential development) – DMURS Compliance.
Experience in Compilation of Planning & Construction Reports - Infrastructure Design Reports, Drainage Impact assessments, Construction & Environmental Management Plans, Operational Waste Management Plans, Flood Risk assessment – Stage 1.
Experience in the design of sustainable urban drainage systems and general building drainage systems. – SUDS Design.
Engineers’ Ireland membership with an ambition to achieve Chartered Engineers status.
Candidate must have ability to communicate effectively and have the ability to prioritise and manage workload effectively.
Planning and control of technical resources to deliver projects on time and to budget.
