As Senior Audit Manager, you’ll play a key role in leading the Audit and Accounts team, ensuring high-quality service delivery while mentoring and developing talent. Key Responsibilities of Senior Audit Manager:
Lead, mentor, and manage the Audit and Accounts team, ensuring effective resource allocation and skills development.
Conduct periodic performance appraisals and provide professional development opportunities.
Foster a high-performance culture that prioritises technical excellence and client service.
Oversee all audit engagements, ensuring compliance with professional standards and deadlines.
Review statutory financial statements and accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
Ensure corporation tax returns are accurately reviewed and filed within deadlines.
Stay up to date with evolving financial reporting standards, including UK GAAP, FRS 102, IFRS, and ISA’s.
Maintain and develop strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor.
Identify client needs, offer tailored solutions, and cross-sell services (e.g., tax, advisory).
Support business development efforts by attending prospect meetings, preparing proposals, and contributing to new client acquisition.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless client experience.
Ensure efficient recoverability of work in progress and achieve monthly billable work targets.
Contribute to the strategic direction of the firm, identifying opportunities for growth and process improvement.
Ensure compliance with the firm’s code of ethics and business conduct.
Skills & Experience of Senior Audit Manager:
Qualified ACCA, ACA, or CPA with significant audit and accounts experience.
Proven ability to lead audits, manage client relationships, and develop high-performing teams.
Strong technical knowledge in UK GAAP, FRS 102, IFRS, and ISA’s.
Commercial mindset with the ability to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
Tech-savvy, proactive, and motivated by a fast-paced environment.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with excellent planning and organisational ability.
