We are seeking a skilled and motivated R&D Engineer to join our dynamic team in Athlone, for a 10 month contract. This role focuses on the design, development, and troubleshooting of products, working cross-functionally to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and delivering high-quality solutions. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop studies and products for research and development.
- Troubleshoot and analyze technical challenges during product development.
- Create and manage Design Control/Design History File documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Ensure adherence to Quality and Regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, ISO, EU MDR).
- Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver projects from concept to implementation.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree (Level 7) in Mechanical, Polymer, Biomedical, or related Engineering/Science discipline.
- Minimum of 12-18 months of relevant experience.
- Strong understanding of Quality and Regulatory requirements from agencies or professional bodies.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in team environments, analyze challenges, and implement effective solutions.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience in cross-functional teams and project collaboration.
- Broad biomedical materials knowledge.
- Familiarity with plastic processing techniques (e.g., Extrusion, Injection Moulding, Blow Moulding).
