We are seeking a skilled and motivated R&D Engineer to join our dynamic team in Athlone, for a 10 month contract. This role focuses on the design, development, and troubleshooting of products, working cross-functionally to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and delivering high-quality solutions. Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop studies and products for research and development.
Troubleshoot and analyze technical challenges during product development.
Create and manage Design Control/Design History File documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Ensure adherence to Quality and Regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, ISO, EU MDR).
Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver projects from concept to implementation.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree (Level 7) in Mechanical, Polymer, Biomedical, or related Engineering/Science discipline.
Minimum of 12-18 months of relevant experience.
Strong understanding of Quality and Regulatory requirements from agencies or professional bodies.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in team environments, analyze challenges, and implement effective solutions.
Desirable Skills:
Experience in cross-functional teams and project collaboration.
Broad biomedical materials knowledge.
Familiarity with plastic processing techniques (e.g., Extrusion, Injection Moulding, Blow Moulding).
