Senior Quantity Surveyor – Electrical Engineering Industry
Our client is a leading provider of electrical engineering, instrumentation, design, and commissioning services across Ireland, the UK, Europe, and the Middle East. They work with global brands in industries such as Pharmaceutical, Data Centres, Utilities, Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Food & Beverage, and Transport. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team and play a key role in managing project costs, contracts, and commercial aspects.
Responsibilities:
Provide commercial and contractual advice across multiple projects.
Manage subcontractor packages, including procurement and payment oversight.
Conduct internal valuations and produce cost reports.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure value for money.
Prepare and manage project budgets, cash flow, and financial forecasts.
Negotiate and agree terms with subcontractors and suppliers.
Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company policies.
Support the Commercial Manager in reporting and decision-making.
Assist in dispute resolution and claims management.
Visit project sites as required (typically 3–4 days per week).
Requirements:
Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related field.
Minimum 2+ years post-graduate experience with a main contractor or developer.
Experience working on large-scale construction projects.
Strong knowledge of commercial and residential construction practices.
