With a strong focus on sustainability and continuous improvement, they are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic commercial team based in Dublin. Responsibilities
- Manage all commercial aspects of projects from pre-contract to final account.
- Prepare and present detailed project budgets and cost reports.
- Analyse and interpret contract agreements with main contractors.
- Measure and procure materials and subcontractor services.
- Conduct valuations and prepare interim payment applications.
- Identify and mitigate risks while optimizing commercial opportunities.
- Provide expert advice on contractual matters to project teams.
- Ensure accurate and comprehensive record-keeping throughout project lifecycles.
- Negotiate and manage subcontractor agreements and final accounts.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant contractual and legal requirements, including the Construction Contract Act 2013.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Membership with RICS, CIOB, or equivalent professional body (preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement processes, and cost management.
- Proficiency in interpreting 3D models, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to manage budgets and prepare detailed reports.
- Proven problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills with a focus on stakeholder engagement.
- Proficiency in construction software and advanced computer literacy.
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver within strict deadlines.
