I am currently partnering with a leading medical device company that is expanding its operations and seeking an experienced Production Unit Manager to join their team. This is a dynamic and rewarding opportunity to take on a key leadership role within a growing organisation.
The Role:
The Production Unit Manager will play a critical role in daily operations, collaborating closely with Production Supervisors and their teams to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs), drive output, and provide strategic leadership across the business.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a strategic plan for the Production Unit.
- Champion Lean initiatives to enhance safety, quality, and customer satisfaction, while minimizing waste and improving process and labor efficiencies.
- Manage staffing levels, resource planning, and scheduling to ensure smooth operations.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration to identify and resolve technical challenges.
- Establish clear goals and accountability for direct reports, encouraging professional development and continuous learning.
- Develop, manage, and monitor departmental budgets.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Encourage a supportive environment that embraces calculated risk-taking and milestone achievement.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, GMP, and quality requirements.
- Drive functional excellence and deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Utilise in-depth knowledge of manufacturing systems and processes to ensure best practices are followed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8–10 years’ experience in an operations or manufacturing environment.
- Previous experience in the medical device sector is essential.
- Proven track record in a similar leadership role such as Production Manager, Manufacturing Manager, Operations Manager, or Production Supervisor.
