The Job:
We are currently working alongside a leading manufacturer based in Longford who specialise in solutions for consumer goods, healthcare and industrial markets. They are now seeking to hire a Production Manager who will oversee the manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Safety and Environment: Adhere to and enforce all safety procedures and policies. Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
Customer Satisfaction: Ensure all customer requirements are met.
Performance Monitoring: Establish and monitor plant performance by setting goals and reviewing tracking metrics.
Team Management: Define, communicate, and ensure duties are met by direct reports.
Performance Evaluations: Review and approve all performance evaluations.
Accident Investigation: Review and investigate all accident reports.
Compliance Verification: Verify compliance with all PM Management activities through our Maximo system.
Inventory Management: Track, monitor, and verify the accuracy of RM, WIP, and FG inventories.
Employee Relations: Ensure fair and consistent treatment of all employees by upholding policies and procedures.
Quality Systems: Implement and uphold The Quality System ISO 13485, ensuring GMP compliance, product quality, and adherence to safety and regulatory standards ISO 14001.
Technical and Operational Enhancements: Drive technical and operational enhancements.
Facility Management: Manage the performance of our production facility, including resourcing, manpower, and efficiency.
Production Data Monitoring: Monitor production data (e.g., downtime, waste, non-conformances) and implement solutions.
Safety and Innovation Culture: Drive a culture of safety and innovation, ensuring our facility is audit-ready every day.
Cross-Functional Liaison: Liaise with cross-functional teams to maintain and improve customer satisfaction.
Process Improvement: Drive Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement initiatives to enhance productivity.
Performance Management: Lead and manage the performance of direct reports. Proactively participate in the Performance Management process to ensure the delivery of team objectives.
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years in a manufacturing facility and general manufacturing operations in a high-volume production role.
BSc in Engineering or a related technical discipline. A third-level qualification is desirable but not essential.
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication abilities.
Proficient in analyzing performance data and presenting actionable insights.
Capable of collaborating effectively across all levels of the business
Results-driven with a strong focus on problem-solving and continuous improvement.
Solid understanding of lean manufacturing principles and techniques.
