We are working alongside a leading manufacturing company based in Co. Offaly to hire a Process Engineer to join their team.
The successful candidate will provide technical assistance in Process Improvement, Cost Reduction, Safety Enhancement and Troubleshooting.
Job Responsibilities:
- Support Manufacturing Operations in striving for world-class performance across all business aspects, with a strong focus on Safety.
- Ensure adherence to safe working practices at all times, including wearing appropriate PPE. Stay informed on Health & Safety procedures, work instructions, and associated documentation, ensuring full compliance with policies.
- Actively contribute to company-wide initiatives aimed at promoting safe behaviors and systems of work.
- Lead or participate in Lean Six Sigma projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Conduct, analyze, and report on new or modified equipment capabilities, qualifications (IQ/OQ/PQ), and validations.
- Collaborate with Research & Development (R&D) and Product Development (PD) functions on developmental runs and Commercialization qualification trials.
- Support new package design and testing in partnership with R&D and Marketing, communicating progress to the Process Engineering Lead.
- Establish Manufacturing Standard Operating Conditions (SOC) through consultation with Machine Operators, Supervisors, and Technical personnel.
- Assess, justify, and manage capital projects, including sourcing and specifying new equipment and components, completing Authorization for Capital Expenditure (ACE) forms.
- Assist the Product Engineer in developing customer and internal specifications, including reviewing and approving Applications Review Forms (APPS).
- Stay updated on relevant procedures, work instructions, and associated forms as required by Key Area Leaders.
- Perform Root Cause Analysis and implement Corrective Actions for Customer Complaints as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Third Level Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical or Industrial Preferred)
- Minimum 2 Years Experience within a Similar Role.
- Strong Project Management Experience and Organisational Skills.
- Knowledge and understanding of ISO Quality Management Procedures.
- Proficiency in applying Six Sigma & Lean Manufacturing Tools.
