Principal EIA Consultant

Location: Trim, Co. Meath or Oranmore, Co. Galway (Hybrid Working)

Are you an experienced Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) & Environmental Planning Consultant looking to take the next step in your career? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing multidisciplinary consultancy, working on diverse projects in renewable energy, food and drink, construction, and more.

The Role:

As a Principal EIA Consultant, you will:

  • Lead and manage Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) and planning applications.
  • Oversee multidisciplinary project teams, ensuring timely and high-quality project delivery.
  • Provide expert guidance to clients in the renewable energy, food and drink, and industrial sectors.
  • Engage with local authorities and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with environmental legislation.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders.

About You:

  • Degree/Master’s in Environmental Science or related field.
  • 5+ years’ experience in EIA project management and the Irish environmental planning system.
  • Ideally this person will be able to run EIA projects & project manage EIA projects from start to finish.
  • A consultancy background is preferred but will also look at someone who has done this in house.
  • Strong report writing, presentation, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent project management capabilities with the ability to handle multiple projects.
  • A proactive, solutions-driven approach with strong commercial awareness.
  • Full, clean driving licence.
