Our client is a growing, multidisciplinary company that provides Environmental Consultancy services across a range of sectors including Renewable Energy, Food & Drink, and Construction. They are seeking an experienced Principal Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) & Environmental Planning Consultant to lead and manage complex projects in a hybrid working model, with opportunities for growth and leadership development.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) for various large-scale projects.

  • Oversee the preparation and submission of Environmental Impact Assessment Reports (EIARs).

  • Lead planning applications and conduct pre-application consultations with local authorities.

  • Collaborate with clients, authorities, and internal teams to ensure project delivery within budget and time constraints.

  • Supervise and mentor a small internal EIA team and external subcontractors.

  • Ensure compliance with Irish environmental and planning legislation.

  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders in renewable energy, construction, and food & drink industries.

  • Identify project challenges, provide solutions, and ensure high-quality deliverables.

  • Drive continuous improvement in project management processes and methodologies.

  • Ensure projects align with company objectives, core values, and financial targets.

Requirements:

  • A third-level qualification (Degree/Masters) in environmental science or a related discipline.

  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in environmental planning and EIA management.

  • Proven experience in Irish planning legislation and EIAR report writing.

  • Strong ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams and oversee multiple projects concurrently.

  • Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
