PAYROLL LEAD| PERM| NAVAN| EXCELLENT SALARY AND BENEFITS
Our client, a well-established manufacturing company in County Meath, is seeking an experienced Payroll Lead to manage complex payroll for over 350 hourly and salaried employees. This full-time, onsite role involves maintaining payroll records, submitting tax reports, and addressing employee queries while ensuring compliance with regulations. Reporting to the Head of HR, the Payroll Lead will also support compensation reviews, manage benefits renewals, and identify process improvements.
Payroll Lead Responsibilities:
- Manage payroll for 350+ bi-weekly and monthly employees.
- Maintain detailed records of employee earnings, benefits, taxes, and deductions.
- Prepare and submit tax reports, including PAYE, PRSI, USC and other relevant deductions.
- Manage voluntary deductions.
- Provide Training and Support across the business for all areas relating to Payroll.
- Reconcile payroll accounts and prepare journal entries for payroll transactions.
- Address employee payroll queries promptly and professionally.
- Ensure quality control procedures are adhered to in order to ensure payroll reviews are carried out to a high quality.
- Support Compensation and Benefit reviews with the Head of HR i.e. benchmarking, regrading, salary surveys, etc.
- Responsible for submission of healthcare renewals and pension renewals on an annual basis and managing changes throughout the year.
- Identification of inefficiencies and streamlining within the function.
- Stay updated on payroll regulations and best practices to ensure compliance.
- Other duties and projects as determined from time to time by the Head of HR.
Payroll lead Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of payroll experience, preferably within a busy manufacturing environment.
- Payroll Qualification in IPASS or equivalent is essential.
- Previous experience in leading a payroll transition project would be an advantage.
- Strong technical payroll knowledge and exposure to high-volume and complex payroll.
- Extensive skills in the use of MS Office suite.
- Expert-level experience in the use of Megapay. Familiarisation with Workday would be an advantage.
