Our Client is Ireland's Leading premier container terminal based in Ringsed Dublin. They are currently looking to hire a Mechancial Fitter to join their site based in Dublin.


The successful candidate will be working within a well-established Maintenance Team across a rolling shift pattern to carry out reactive maintenance efficiently, effectively, and safely. 


Job Responsibilities:

  • Complete planned and reactive maintenance work in an effective and safe manner
  • Carry out hands-on maintenance work on mechanical and electrical plant, machinery and equipment
  • Carry out fabrication work
  • Operate plant and machinery as required.
  • Deliver a safe personal working culture.
  • Complete the workload as stipulated by the Maintenance Manager.
  • Attend to unplanned failures in a timely manner to meet reliability targets.
  • Complete work orders via SAP tablet based Safety Culture system to complete work activity and relevant documentation.
  • Report parts and materials deficits via SAP without delay.
  • Suggest tactical decisions to the Maintenance manager to stay on schedule.
  • Demonstrate commitment to multi-skilled activity where appropriate.
  • Notify Engineer Manager/Team Leader of all operational issues affecting delivery to plan without delay.
  • Required to plan own work to minimise time lost.
  • Communicate accurate information to the Maintenance manager.
  • Foster good relationships with internal stakeholders, in particular the Operations Team. 

Job Requirements:

  • Time Served of relevant Mechanical experience in a heavy industrial environment
  • National Trade Craft Certificate essential.
  • An assertive individual who demonstrates a willingness to progress within the company.
  • Demonstrated commitment to maintaining Health and Safety standards.
  • Ability to work at Heights.
  • A strong understanding of motors and hydraulics
  • Excellent fault-finding skills and the ability to use fault-finding diagnostic equipment.
