Fantastic opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join a high-tech manufacturing company in Newbridge that has significant investment and growth plans for their highly automated contract manufacturing site.
They are currently looking to recruit a permanent Maintenance Electrician for their facility on shifts. The plant manufacturing processes consist of high-tech electrical, robotic, and mechanical production lines and include product making, injection molding, and packing. The Maintenance Electrician will work within multi-skilled teams leading the day-to-day problem-solving, planned maintenance programme, standards documentation, and continuous improvement in a high-speed, agile environment.
Job Responsibilities:
Support Manufacturing operations to deliver Safety, Quality, and throughput objectives, across a 24/7 operation.
Lead the recovery of breakdowns on the off shifts and weekends, with a focus on root cause identification and systemic preventative actions.
Troubleshoot equipment control systems, robot applications, vision systems, and general low/ medium voltage power circuits/applications.
Drive a systemic approach to loss elimination and build increasing capability in the shift Manufacturing teams.
Support the maintenance & Facility team in identifying and implementing cost-reduction programs.
Lead the planned preventative maintenance work on a weekly basis while on the Day shift.
Provide support to project engineering team during the introduction of new products and equipment within our Manufacturing Operations and site Facility systems.
Job Requirements:
FAS/SOLAS time served Electrical apprenticeship or equivalent.
Minimum 3 Years of Manufacturing experience in a similar high-tech environment.
Experience with PLC programming/troubleshooting, Robotic applications, and Vision systems is desirable.
Have excellent troubleshooting ability with a track record of root cause identification.
Strong Communication Skills and ability to work as part of a team.
