Manufacturing Manager

MANUFACTURING MANAGER – Galway

Role Overview

Reporting to the General Manager, The Manufacturing Manager will oversee and optimize production operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and adherence to safety standards. This role involves leading a high-performing team, managing resources, and driving continuous improvement to achieve production goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the production team, fostering a culture of safety, collaboration, and growth.

  • Manage production schedules, resources, and manpower to meet targets and maximize efficiency.

  • Oversee maintenance of manufacturing machinery (e.g., CNC, Salvagnini S4) and ensure optimal performance.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste.

  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and collaborate with the quality assurance team.

  • Monitor inventory levels, working with procurement to minimize downtime and maintain safety stock.

  • Uphold health and safety standards through regular audits and proactive corrective actions.

  • Manage production budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities.

  • Report on production performance, highlighting key metrics and areas for improvement.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., purchasing, design, sales) to ensure seamless operations.


Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.

  • 5+ years in a manufacturing management role, ideally in an industrial setting.

  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and manufacturing processes.

  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  • Financial acumen for budget management and cost control.

Preferred:

  • Expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, or process improvement methodologies.
