MANUFACTURING MANAGER – Galway

Role Overview
Reporting to the General Manager, The Manufacturing Manager will oversee and optimize production operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and adherence to safety standards. This role involves leading a high-performing team, managing resources, and driving continuous improvement to achieve production goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the production team, fostering a culture of safety, collaboration, and growth.
- Manage production schedules, resources, and manpower to meet targets and maximize efficiency.
- Oversee maintenance of manufacturing machinery (e.g., CNC, Salvagnini S4) and ensure optimal performance.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and collaborate with the quality assurance team.
- Monitor inventory levels, working with procurement to minimize downtime and maintain safety stock.
- Uphold health and safety standards through regular audits and proactive corrective actions.
- Manage production budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Report on production performance, highlighting key metrics and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., purchasing, design, sales) to ensure seamless operations.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
- 5+ years in a manufacturing management role, ideally in an industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Financial acumen for budget management and cost control.
Preferred:
- Expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, or process improvement methodologies.
