Junior Process Development Engineer – Medical Device Industry

We are partnering with a leading global company in the medical device industry to find a motivated Junior Process Development Engineer for their team in Boyle, Ireland. Role Overview

As a Junior Process Development Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting projects and driving innovation within the team. You’ll be involved in the identification, specification, and validation of new equipment, processes, and technologies. This role requires hands-on problem-solving skills and a commitment to improving existing processes to ensure the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and validate new processes, including running trials and feasibility studies for new products and technologies.

  • Design and implement new methodologies, materials, and processes to bring concepts to market, ensuring all documentation is precise and complete.

  • Apply a science-based approach to develop and enhance processes and technologies.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors to solve technical challenges and improve capabilities.

  • Prepare and manage project plans, including timelines, resources, and costs.

  • Write and review customer development proposals for new projects.

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives, using lean tools and Six Sigma principles to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

  • Complete validation documentation, including FMEAs and control plans, adhering to ISO13485, Medical Device Regulation, and FDA Quality System requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Degree in engineering, science, or a related discipline.

  • Minimum of 1 year of industry experience, ideally within the medical device or manufacturing sector.

  • Strong technical skills with the ability to work hands-on to solve problems.
