Our client, a leading energy and lighting engineering company is seeking an EHS Officer on a permanent basis. This position is based in Cork. The Health and Safety Officer will be responsible for carrying out and managing the tasks required by the contract, ensuring they meet business expectations, while also meeting Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality goals.
Overview of Main Responsibilities:
Oversee monitoring and risk management by developing and maintaining assessments, statements, policies, procedures, accreditations, audit schedules, registers, and RAMS, while fulfilling PSDP & PSCS role responsibilities and implementing rapid recovery or corrective actions when necessary.
Provide expert Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) guidance to management and staff across the offices.
Manage workplace health and safety initiatives, training, and meetings, conducting regular safety audits company-wide and attending client safety audits and meetings.
Oversee the Quality Management System (ISO 9001), Environmental Management System (ISO 14001), and Occupational Health and Safety Management System (ISO 45001) to ensure compliance with accreditation standards.
Facilitate Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality inductions for new employees, maintaining accurate records and tracking employee training.
Review and maintain safety statements, and method statements to ensure compliance
What the ideal EHS Officer looks like:
Occupational Health, Safety and Welfare at Work, Degree Qualification.
2+ years working as an HSEQ officer in the construction/engineering/civils industry/energy/utilities.
Experience working to ESBN work requirements would be beneficial, but full training will be provided.
Full clean driving license.
