We are currently partnering with one the leading Pharma organisations in Cork who are looking for a Global Trade Compliance Analyst to join their team on a 9-month contract. The purpose of this position is to manage the import/export compliance and operational activities as well as all efforts in Ireland to ensure adherence with laws and to improve operational efficiency. This can be worked as a hybrid role, with flexibility to go onsite when required. Strong import/export/customs knowledge is required.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with Customs Law by resolving border delays and managing import/export activities across EU manufacturing sites and BPO partners.
Act as the secondary point of contact with Irish customs to address any requests for audits and inspections.
Advise local teams on import/export requirements, including documentation, tariff classification, valuation, and origin determination.
Maintain accurate trade data for Irish operations and assist in monitoring related systems.
Track regulatory changes in trade compliance and communicate impacts to relevant stakeholders.
Develop and implement strategies and controls to address trade compliance issues and process improvements.
Lead or contribute to trade-related projects aimed at increasing efficiency and reducing costs, including process analysis.
Deliver training and self-audit support to enhance compliance awareness, monitor programs, and report key metrics to leadership.
Requirements:
3-5 years of experience working in a broker’s agency, multinational company, or consulting firm, in customs authority or logistics/supply chain
Knowledge of Administration, Foreign Trade Law, Customs Law, Tariff Codes etc.
Knowledge on import/export regulations and activities.
Knowledge and experience on Irish Customers.
Proactive, negotiation and flexibility abilities.
Strong communication skills.
Systems knowledge in MS Office, Visio, SAP GTS, ECC and BW.
