Finance Analyst

Our client, a leading manufacturing organisation based in South Tipperary has a requirement for a Financial Analyst to join their team on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role will support the site finance and operations teams across several key areas of the business. The role has come about due to an internal move. Positive working environment along with hybrid working options and an early Friday finish.


Overview of Main Responsibilities (full job description available on request):

  • Complete a broad range of financial services and deliverables providing financial support to site manufacturing operations
  • Assess reasonableness and relevance of financial assumptions with limited supervision
  • Perform general accounting activities and reconciliations as part of the month-end processes and SOX compliance
  • Assist in the preparation of the site Annual Plan & quarterly Plan updates
  • Maintain controls to assure the integrity of assets and compliance with GAAP & applicable Corporate & Divisional Policies
  • Review and approval of capital project and materials expenditures
  • Prepare and review monthly KPI metrics for areas of responsibility and communicate to key stakeholders and senior management
  • Coordinate capital spend cashflows and provide financial tracking and maintenance support to Project Managers
  • Coordinate physical inventory and fixed asset cycle counts with affiliate business partners
  • Interact with cross-functional teams to ensure key business deliverables are being met whilst identifying and implementing initiatives to improve

What the ideal candidate looks like:

  • Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA) with 2-3 years PQE
  • Excellent financial analysis skills & strong attention to detail
  • Ability to support area senior management and work with cross-functional teams
  • High level of proficiency in MS Excel and understanding of financial accounting systems (SAP experience preferred)
