Our Client, a Leader in supplying the Irish Polymer Marker for over 30 Years, are currently looking to hire a Field Service Engineer to support their client sites in Ireland.


The successful candidate will be involved in installing, calibrating, and servicing injection moulding machines and ancillary equipment.


Job Responsibilties:

  • Carry out installation, maintenance, and servicing of machinery and associated equipment.
  • Specialize in electrical maintenance and system diagnostics for injection moulding machines.
  • Perform machine fit-outs, including necessary electrical and mechanical modifications.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve electrical and electromechanical faults on-site in collaboration with customers and machine manufacturers.
  • Conduct machine calibrations per customer maintenance schedules.
  • Carry out equipment health checks and generate detailed condition reports.
  • Coordinate with the scheduling team to efficiently manage workload and ensure necessary resources are available.
  • Engage with customers both remotely and on-site to understand their specific needs and provide technical guidance.
  • Assist in specifying and procuring electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical components.
  • Prepare and approve necessary documentation and reports upon job completion.
  • Maintain strict adherence to all relevant electrical and industrial safety standards, as well as customer safety requirements.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum Level 6 qualification in Electrical or Mechatronic Engineering.
  • At least 3 Years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment, specializing in the maintenance and troubleshooting of plastics machinery.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret both electrical and mechanical schematics.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, including expertise in root cause analysis.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Sound understanding of industrial safety protocols.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with personnel at all levels of the business and with customers.
