Electrical Tendering Engineer

As an ElectricalTendering Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in our growth by preparing, managing, and submitting competitive bids for engineering projects. You will join an established engineering company based in Cavan with nearly five decades of specialization in distribution transformers, our expertise is unparalleled, blending decades of experience with cutting-edge engineering and manufacturing knowledge.

What You’ll Do:

Tender & Quotation Preparation

  • Analyze tender documents to understand technical and commercial requirements.

  • Collaborate with sales, design, production, and planning teams for high-quality submissions.

  • Develop accurate cost estimates, ensuring compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.

  • Prepare all necessary documentation, drawings, and calculations for bids.

Cost Estimation & Risk Analysis

  • Evaluate project feasibility from a financial and manufacturing perspective.

  • Identify potential technical and commercial risks and develop cost-effective solutions.

Cross-Team Collaboration & Client Engagement

  • Work closely with internal teams (engineering, procurement, project management) to ensure bid accuracy.

  • Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to obtain necessary information and clarifications.

  • without using Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as required.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.

  • 3-5 years of experience in Electrical Engineering Tendering or Design within the energy or manufacturing sector.

  • Strong knowledge of engineering principles and electrical distribution practices.

  • Proficiency in tendering and cost estimation software.

  • Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.

  • Experience with project management tools is a plus (PMP, CCP certification is an advantage).
