We are partnering with a leading medical device manufacturer in Castlerea, Co. Roscommon to recruit an EHS Officer on a permanent contract.
Responsibilities:
As an EHS Officer, you will:
Proactively promote a positive Health and Safety environment for all employees and drive EHS continuous improvements initiatives.
Regularly share Environmental, Health and Safety reports and key metrics with senior management, covering all necessary data and reporting requirements.
Manage, develop and provide EHS training as required to all employees, contractors & visitors.
Coordinate environmental management programmes, driving continuous improvement initiatives including but not limited to energy reduction, waste, etc.
Monitor and maintain all EHS policies and procedures and the company safety statement in compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Support the EHS accident and incident management process on-site in accordance with HSA and corporate requirements. Including investigations, root cause analysis and corrective and preventative action management.
Carry out regular audits/inspections to measure EHS compliance with site procedures and legal requirements and identify and address site EHS issues and concerns.
Represent the company during external audits or inspections and liaise as required.
Qualifications:
A level 7/8 in Environmental Health & Safety or similar discipline
A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a medical device manufacturing engineering role is desirable.
