Our client, a leading global pharmaceutical company, is currently recruiting an EHS Engineer, to join their team in Sligo on a temporary, 12-month contract.
Responsibilities:
As an EHS Engineer, you will be responsible for the following (full job description available on request):
Ensuring that the plant maintains the highest standards of Environmental Health and Safety in a constantly changing business environment.
Promoting a culture of continuous improvement and ensuring compliance with all statutory Employment and EHS-related legislation, as well as company Corporate Technical Standards and Policies.
Developing systems and procedures to optimize safety, health, and environmental performance at the site, while complying with relevant EHS legislation.
Implementing effective contractor management systems and maintaining Contractor Safety Performance KPIs.
Providing guidance and support to meet the requirements of the client’s Global EHS Management and Technical Standards, ISO, and other external regulations.
Maintaining ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 Certification.
Working with managers to ensure employees are trained to defined competency standards in all applicable EHS policies and procedures.
Conducting risk assessments throughout the plant and overseeing training on risk assessments.
Requirements:
BSc in Occupational Safety & Health Level 8, or equivalent, or a degree in a related discipline.
2-3 years relevant experience is desirable.
