As a Design Engineer, you will collaborate with a talented team to ensure products meet the highest quality standards and align with client needs.
Key Responsibilities
As a Design Engineer, you will:
- Create and manage 3D models and assemblies in SolidWorks, producing manufacturing packs with BOMs, laser profiles, and works orders.
- Conduct Design Risk Assessments and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Generate 3D block layouts and 2D drawings using AutoCAD from site measurements or design briefs.
- Collaborate with Project Engineers to meet project timelines and ensure successful execution.
- Undertake site visits to gather data, perform surveys, and liaise with clients for design reviews and approvals.
- Drive a culture of “Right First Time” by standardising design practices and optimising efficiency from design to production.
- Engage with suppliers to source materials and components for innovative designs.
- Partner with the Quality, Health & Safety team to ensure all products meet rigorous specifications and quality standards.
Requirements:
- Degree in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent industry experience.
- High proficiency in SolidWorks 3D and AutoCAD 2D, with a strong attention to detail.
- Proven experience in a design role within a fabrication environment.
- Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills with a solutions-focused mindset.
- A methodical, detail-oriented approach, ready to drive innovation and excellence.
