We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our client's practice in Longford. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in VAT, Payroll, and Sage accounting software. This is a permanent position offering a 4 -day week ( 34 hours full -time) onsite at their Longford office.
Key Responsibilities of Bookkeeper:
- Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers.
- Process and manage VAT returns in compliance with relevant tax regulations.
- Oversee payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely payments.
- Reconcile bank statements and manage cash flow.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
- Liaise with external auditors and accountants as required
Skills & Experience Required of Bookkeeper:
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of VAT regulations and experience in VAT returns.
- Proficiency in Payroll processing.
- Hands-on experience with Sage accounting software.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial management.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills for liaising with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
