Bookkeeper -4 day week

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our client's practice in Longford. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in VAT, Payroll, and Sage accounting software. This is a permanent position offering a 4 -day week ( 34 hours full -time) onsite at their Longford office.


Key Responsibilities of Bookkeeper:

  • Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers.
  • Process and manage VAT returns in compliance with relevant tax regulations.
  • Oversee payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely payments.
  • Reconcile bank statements and manage cash flow.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
  • Liaise with external auditors and accountants as required

Skills & Experience Required of Bookkeeper:

  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of VAT regulations and experience in VAT returns.
  • Proficiency in Payroll processing.
  • Hands-on experience with Sage accounting software.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial management.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills for liaising with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
