We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join a well-established food manufacturing company based in Cavan. This role is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of their financial operations and maintaining strong relationships with their vendors.
It is a full time permanent role, full time on site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the end-to-end accounts payable process, including verifying, coding, and processing invoices.
- Ensure timely and accurate payments to suppliers, maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure proper documentation and approval processes.
- Assist in month-end and year-end financial closing activities related to accounts payable.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements within the accounts payable function.
- Utilize finance and IT systems to enhance reporting, analysis, and workflow efficiency.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 2-5 years in an accounts payable or similar finance role, preferably within the manufacturing or FMCG sector.
- Education: Diploma or degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
Skills:
- Strong proficiency with finance and accounting software.
- Solid understanding of financial principles and accounts payable processes.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to analyze data and resolve discrepancies effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with IT systems and tools (e.g., ERP systems, Excel).
- Self-motivated, proactive, and adaptable to a fast-paced environment.
