Sabrina Borges Barry – “I feel the consultants here really care about the people they are placing and their needs and circumstances.”
Sabrina Borges Barry journey to working at Collins McNicholas in Sligo was a scenic one.
Originally from Brazil, Sabrina had lived in Dublin for almost 10 years but was looking to relocate to Sligo in May 2016.
“I applied for a maternity cover position with one of Collins McNicholas’ clients in Sligo town. I met with Antoinette (O’Flaherty) who was very helpful and gave me all the support I needed to make the move. Once this position was finished, Collins McNicholas found me another six-month temporary contract with another client. Then in September 2017, a position came up in Collins McNicholas’ finance department and I started in my new role in October 2017.”
Sabrina says it was the ability of Collins McNicholas’ staff to listen to her story and understand her requirements which really helped her settle into each role and in the end attracted her to work for the company itself.

Sabrina has transitioned into life in the North West seamlessly and says she loves being so near the sea and using those quieter roads.
“I feel so privileged to live in an area with so many outdoor activities. Also, it’s great to be able to get to work in the morning or go home in the afternoon without having to face huge traffic jams. No more M50 traffic for me!”
