Sustainability Consultant Hybrid

Our client an established engineering consultancy company based in Ireland with a reputation for excellence have a new opening for a Senior Sustainability Consultant  This position can be a Hybrid working option (2 days in office per week and off-site/remote working)In this positionyou will have the opportunity to manage projects of various scales and types in the areas of carbon accounting, decarbonisation strategies, ESG programmes, resource efficiency and energy optimisation. This role provides an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, assist clients in navigating their sustainability and ESG reporting requirements, applying carbon accounting methodologies for scope 1, 2 and 3 in line with the GHG Protocol and contribute to sustainable development across Ireland.


  • We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented professional who is passionate about sustainability and ESG and who has a proven capability to effectively assist clients to meet their sustainability requirements.

  • You will have the opportunity to analysis and present widescale ESG options and solutions to their client’s senior management team

  • Manage client relationships by providing expert guidance on sustainability matters.

  • Data analysis and data management will also be key with an ability to understand profiles and trends in data and be able to extract and explain these trends to non-technical people.

The required candidate must have the following knowledge and attributes:

  • A third level qualification (Degree/Masters) in environmental science or related discipline.

  • Experience working through ISO 14064, SBTi or other similar carbon accounting standards.

  • Experience with both the “S” and “G” from ESG.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.

  • Personable - build a strong rapport with our clients, peers & authorities on-site & on-phone.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Ability to deliver a project to a satisfied client that believes we exceed their expectations.

  • 4+ years’ relevant experience preferred.

  • Excellent report writing and presentation skills.

  • Highly motivated individual with strong attention to detail.

  • Be self-motivated and solution driven.

  • A full clean driving licence.
