Our client, a global healthcare leader is currently recruiting a Senior Visual Inspection Manager to join their growing team in Westport, Co. Mayo on a permanent contract.
As part of this role, you will be responsible for managing the visual inspection team and working closely with other departments to ensure all products are inspected and released on time.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement visual inspection processes and procedures to improve efficiency and quality for both commercial and NPI products.
Manage the visual inspection team, including hiring and evaluating employees.
Meet with other departments to coordinate visual inspection schedules and ensure timely delivery of products.
Ensure that visual inspection process meets quality standards and regulations.
Develop, maintain and review visual inspection limits.
Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and policies.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in an Engineering or Science related field or equivalent relevant experience.
5+ years of experience in management in a GMP function ideally in a visual inspection role
Strong knowledge of visual inspection materials, processes and of regulatory requirements for packaging.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement processes.
