We are seeking a Senior Automation Engineer with proven experience in automation or commissioning within data centre environments. The ideal candidate will take on a key technical leadership role with a primary focus on two major sites in Denmark. You will work closely with our teams to deliver best-in-class Building Management Systems (BMS) and Power Monitoring Systems (PMS) – overseeing the installation, maintenance , commissioning, and ongoing supportof automation systems critical to high-performance data centre operations. Key Responsibilities
Lead the installation, commissioning, and lifecycle support of BMS and PMS systems (PLC/SCADA-based) on data centre projects.
Provide technical support and guidance for automation system integration with Owner Supplied Equipment.
Liaise with internal project teams and external stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery and system performance.
Act as the automation systems lead across data centre projects, offering oversight, troubleshooting, and advisory support.
Conduct system validation and performance testing to meet commissioning requirements.
Support knowledge sharing and mentoring of junior engineers where needed.
Essential Requirements
Strong background in automation systems engineering with specific experience in BMS and/or PMS (PLC/SCADA-based systems).
Minimum 5+yrs experience working on automation or commissioning projects, preferably within data centre, manufacturing, or high-tech environments.
Familiarity with FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) and SAT (Site Acceptance Testing) procedures.
Demonstrated experience in greenfield data centre builds and/or brownfield expansions.
Ability and willingness to relocate to Denmark or travel regularly to support projects as required.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to operate independently and take initiative.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
