Our client, a leading company in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a highly motivated Quality Engineer to join their team on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract. This role offers an exciting opportunity to drive quality improvement initiatives, analyze quality costs, and enhance product reliability. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring compliance with industry standards while working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
- Lead quality improvement programs using problem-solving and project management techniques.
- Investigate and implement corrective actions for customer complaints and product non-conformances.
- Conduct process capability studies and statistical analysis to drive continuous improvements.
- Develop, review, and implement quality assurance specifications and procedures.
- Align and integrate company testing procedures with international standards requirements.
- Participate in validation activities for new tooling, equipment, and manufacturing processes.
- Ensure compliance with ISO13485:2016 and other relevant regulatory standards.
- Analyze quality costs and identify key areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve quality objectives.
- Promote and uphold a culture of quality and continuous improvement across the organization.
Requirements:
- Third-level qualification in Science or Engineering.
- Minimum of three years' experience in Quality Engineering within a manufacturing environment.
- Training and/or experience in an ISO13485:2016 certified environment is highly desirable.
- Lean/Six Sigma certification is an advantage.
- Strong analytical skills, including statistical analysis and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high-quality standards.
- Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and perform effectively in a fast-paced setting.
- Flexible and adaptable approach to work.
