Quality Engineer - FTC

Our client, a leading company in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a highly motivated Quality Engineer to join their team on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract. This role offers an exciting opportunity to drive quality improvement initiatives, analyze quality costs, and enhance product reliability. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring compliance with industry standards while working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead quality improvement programs using problem-solving and project management techniques.
  • Investigate and implement corrective actions for customer complaints and product non-conformances.
  • Conduct process capability studies and statistical analysis to drive continuous improvements.
  • Develop, review, and implement quality assurance specifications and procedures.
  • Align and integrate company testing procedures with international standards requirements.
  • Participate in validation activities for new tooling, equipment, and manufacturing processes.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO13485:2016 and other relevant regulatory standards.
  • Analyze quality costs and identify key areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve quality objectives.
  • Promote and uphold a culture of quality and continuous improvement across the organization.

Requirements:

  • Third-level qualification in Science or Engineering.
  • Minimum of three years' experience in Quality Engineering within a manufacturing environment.
  • Training and/or experience in an ISO13485:2016 certified environment is highly desirable.
  • Lean/Six Sigma certification is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills, including statistical analysis and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high-quality standards.
  • Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and perform effectively in a fast-paced setting.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to work.
