Purchasing Administrator

Purchasing Administrator required for well established wholesaler company in Co Galway.


Responsibilities:

  • Process stock replenishment orders within the business (in a timely manner allowing for lead time)

  • Manage relationships with supplier partners and use of Intact for stock replenishment and demand forecasting.

  • Assist the Operations Manager in sourcing new products, developing and implementing new strategies.

  • Managing of supplier relationships and negotiating contracts/ prices and timeline.

  • Bulk purchasing where possible to ensure most economical way of buying.

  • Moving on old stock or end of line stock and turning into revenue.

  • Responsible for stock control and stock take.


Requirements

  • The successful candidate ideally would have a supply chain or Business qualification with experience in a procurement role.

  • Good commercial and financial acumen with an ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Solutions focussed and an ability to manage multiple tasks within a deadline.

  • Excellent communication skills with an ability to keep all parties informed both on the company and supplier side.

  • Strong systems experience is essential.
