Job Description: Project Engineer (6 month contract)

We are seeking a highly motivated Project Engineer to support the development, execution, and oversight of capital and expense projects related to facility, utility, and equipment installations and upgrades. This role plays a key part in ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all relevant regulations and internal procedures. Working cross-functionally, the Project Engineer will contribute to process improvement, equipment qualification, and technical documentation while minimizing disruption to ongoing operations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Plan and manage engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal standards.

  • Develop and execute user requirement specifications, design documents, and technical reports.

  • Support equipment selection, installation, commissioning, and qualification (IQ/OQ).

  • Conduct risk assessments and implement process improvements for efficiency and quality.

  • Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely project execution.

  • Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation and reports.

  • Identify and resolve technical issues, escalating where necessary.

  • Ensure adherence to safety standards and contribute to a strong safety culture.

  • Provide regular updates on project progress and productivity metrics.

  • Participate in audits, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 3–5 years of relevant project engineering experience.

  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical manufacturing or equipment is a strong advantage.

  • Proficient in interpreting P&IDs, process flow diagrams, and qualification protocols.

  • Understanding of cGMP and regulatory compliance requirements.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CAD software.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

  • Willingness to travel for equipment assessments and FATs as required.
