Exciting opportunities are available to join a multinational Pharmaceutical company based in Carlow. You will lead and manage key engineering projects from scope development through to handover to operations. These projects will include process improvements, capital projects, and Lean initiatives across various functions, requiring collaboration and support at both a local and global level.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage multiple engineering projects, including scope development, design, build/install, qualification, and handover to operations.
Utilize scientific and process knowledge to develop risk-based approaches for troubleshooting and future project planning.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate improvement projects as the Carlow site ramps up to full commercial operations.
Oversee equipment design, qualification, and commissioning activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory and GMP standards.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives by participating in investigations, change control, and Kaizen events.
Act as a liaison with global engineering services, facilities, and specialist vendors to ensure timely project delivery.
Ensure adherence to Global Policies, Procedures, Guidelines, and regulatory requirements in all activities.
Experience, Knowledge & Skills:
Significant experience in a similar role, ideally within a sterile manufacturing environment.
Proven track record in leading technical teams through operations and technical transfer projects.
Strong understanding of regulatory standards, especially in sterile filling processes and aseptic processing.
Experience in project management, equipment and process validation, and Lean Six Sigma methodology is preferred.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to write detailed reports, standards, and policies.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related job-specific software.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Green Belt certification in Lean Six Sigma is desirable.
A strong safety ethos and experience in managing change within a commercial site are essential.
