Private Equity Accountant

Our client is an industry-leading financial services company, and they currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Private EquityAccountant to join their team in Limerick on a 12-month contract. You will join the Real Estate and Infrastructure team and will provide fund administration services to the Irish Real Estate market.

Hybrid working is in place – 3 days in the office and 2 from home.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop an understanding of Fund Accounting requirements for Real Estate and Infrastructure Funds and keep up-to-date on the market as well as industry and regulatory requirements.

  • Collect relevant information to facilitate the production of Net Asset Values (NAVs) and management accounts, issuing these accurately and within agreed timeframes.

  • Understand the structure of property transactions and the process and approvals required.

  • Assist with the payment of operating expenses.

  • Liaise with internal departments such as Depositary, Transfer Agency, Legal, and Company Secretarial.

  • Provide client satisfaction and continuously improve the department's performance to clients both internal and external.

  • Ensure that operating arrangements are clearly established on the inception of a fund.

Requirements:

  • Yardi experience is a must.

  • Currently working towards or completed a Professional Accounting Qualification.

  • Preview experience in financial services or audit firm.

  • Knowledge of Irish/UK GAAP and IRFS and Irish regulatory/tax regime.

  • Strong communication skills and previous client services experience.

  • Experience in Accounting software.

  • Strong knowledge of MS Office (Excel and Word).
