Operations Manager - Funds Industry

Our client is an industry-leading financial services company and they currently have an exciting opportunity for an Operations Manager to join their team in Limerick. This is a 12-month contract and will manage and organise the team workload in an efficient manner while working closely with the Section Manager on team resourcing and various processes/projects. Experience within the Funds Industry is essential.

This is a hybrid role – 3 days in office, 2 from home.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of Corporate Action events, dividend entitlements, and reporting across all fund administration locations.

  • Regular review and oversight of outsourced events and activities to ensure control environment and consistency between locations.

  • Demonstrate effective leadership by managing task allocation, workload distribution, and team development while prioritising team goals.

  • Own client issues, resolve them successfully and build strong relationships across serviced locations.

  • Proactively identify and implement process improvements to adapt to evolving product lines and business needs.

  • Ensure high-standard error reporting, meeting SLAs, and implementing preventative measures within deadlines.

  • Promote career growth, provide regular feedback, and ensure knowledge sharing within the team.

  • Foster effective relationships with other business units, lead services calls, support business plans, and contribute to small/medium projects.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years experience in the Funds Industry.

  • Procedural, regulatory and industry knowledge – Knowledge of financial instruments, valuations business and central bank regulations.

  • Good working knowledge of Bloomberg and IDS online system is essential.

  • Strong experience as a Fund Administrator with evidence of involvmenet at a supervisory level through running and coordinating projects, training staff or quality checking team’s work.

  • Organisation and planning skills.
