Merchandiser - Galway - Permanent

This role will work nationally to increase our clients' Agri brand and product presence in their customers' stores. They will ensure that the correct mix of products is stocked and displayed to achieve greater sales and maximize profits for both the client and customers. The role involves liaising closely with the marketing team, area sales managers, in-store sales team, and buying and store operations teams to ensure stock is properly monitored and available.

Responsibilities:

  • Merchandising products at trade stores nationwide.

  • Ensuring products and accessories are merchandised according to the agreed in-store planograms.

  • Managing on-shelf availability and visibility for all listed lines, ensuring presence in both outdoor and indoor locations.

  • Ensuring all products are clean and well-presented.

  • Forward-planning store visits to maximize time in an area and logging merchandising calls in our CRM system.

  • Maximizing customer interest and sales levels by displaying products appropriately and in prime locations within each store.

  • Attending open days and shows as required to support our sales team.

  • Monitoring the impact of merchandising in each store.

  • Ensuring products are positioned in a prime in-store location with appropriate signage, clear pricing, and branding, while generating extra space for the brand through negotiations at store level.

  • Gaining knowledge of our competitors in the marketplace and reacting quickly by providing feedback on any observed changes.

  • Monitoring stock levels to ensure our best sellers are reaching their full potential visually in-store.

  • Staying up to date with industry best practices, identifying trends in other stores, and building on this knowledge to increase sales.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • 1 – 2 years Merchandising experience essential

  • Proven track record in hitting and exceeding merchandising KPI’s.

  • Agricultural knowledge and background an advantage.

  • Must be able to travel and this role will include 1 to 2 nights away per week.

  • Must have full clean driver’s License, trailer license is desirable but not essential.

  • Customer focused with a strong business acumen.

  • Excellent attention to detail.

  • Ability to build strong relationships with the JFC team, instore staff and customers.

  • Ability to multi-task whilst working under pressure.

  • Up to date with the latest merchandising trends and best practices.

  • Excellent negotiating and influencing skills.

  • IT literate and experience using CRM an advantage. .com

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

  • Strong listening, presentation, and decision-making skills. • Strong commercial acumen essential and good understanding of Sales.
