Our Client, is a leading Construction and Materials group based both in Ireland and the UK, They are currently expanding their team for their site in Westmeath and are now looking to hire a Mechanical Fitter.
The role involves executing corrective, planned, and preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our equipment and plant.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform corrective, planned, and preventive maintenance tasks, including welding, fabrication, alignments, and troubleshooting.
- Ensure a “Right first time” approach to all tasks, maintaining high-quality standards.
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure adherence to safe work systems.
- Monitor equipment performance and maintain production levels, considering quality, safety, and engineering standards.
- Complete and close out work orders in a timely manner.
- Participate in a callout rota as part of the maintenance team and work overtime as required.
- Propose and implement improvements to current work practices.
Job Requirements:
- A Mechanical Fitting or Mechanical Automation Level 6 qualification.
- Minimum of 2 years of mechanical maintenance experience in a fixed-plant environment, preferably within heavy engineering.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
- Positive attitude, high work standards, and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work effectively as part of a team.
