Our client, a multi-national medical device manufacturer in Galway are looking to hire a Manufacturing Engineer to join their team for an initial 12 month contract. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic and fast paced manufacturing team and to work on state of the art technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead technical efforts on product and process issues.
Drive improvements through the VIP program.
Lead process improvements across people, quality, service, and cost.
Apply structured methodologies for continuous improvement.
Collaborate with internal and external quality and engineering teams.
Participate in phase reviews and NPE meetings for new products.
Support manufacturing to meet quality, output, and cost goals.
Maintain capacity models and assist with capital planning.
Lead Lean initiatives.
Guide Process Technicians and ensure timely preventive maintenance.
Develop and implement GMP-compliant documentation.
Plan and support major projects and product transfers.
Evaluate new equipment/processes for environmental impact.
Undertake additional projects as assigned.
Ensure patient safety and product quality.
Adhere to all quality system regulations.
Promote personal and team development.
Qualifications & Experience:
HETAC Level 8 qualification in engineering or related field.
Minimum of 3 years' relevant industry experience.
Strong technical, communication, and teamwork skills.
Project management experience a plus.
