Fleet Manager

Fleet Manager required with 5 years of experience in fleet management, logistics, or a similar role. Mayo.


Responsible for overseeing the efficient management, maintenance, and operation of the company’s fleet. This includes ensuring all vehicles are in good working condition, are compliant with safety and regulatory standards, and are utilized cost-effectively. The Fleet Manager will also handle scheduling, driver management, and logistics optimization.


Responsibilities:

  • Fleet Operations Management: Oversee daily operations of the vehicle fleet, ensuring efficient allocation and utilization.

  • Vehicle Maintenance: Ensure all vehicles are properly maintained and serviced regularly.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all vehicles comply with relevant legal, environmental, and safety regulations.

  • Driver Management: Monitor driver performance, behaviour, and adherence to company policies.

  • Fuel and Cost Management: Track fuel usage and optimize fuel efficiency across the fleet.

  • Fleet Tracking & Reporting: Utilize fleet management software to track vehicle location, status, and performance.

  • Procurement and Disposal: Manage the procurement of new vehicles, negotiating with suppliers for the best terms.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field. (Relevant work experience may substitute for formal education).

  • 5 years of experience in fleet management, logistics, or a similar role.

  • Certifications in fleet management (e.g., Certified Automotive Fleet Manager, NAFA) are preferred but not mandatory.

  • Proficiency in fleet management software and telematics systems.

  • Strong leadership and management skills.

  • Understanding of vehicle mechanics, maintenance, and regulatory requirements.

  • Ability to analyse data and generate actionable insights.

  • Strong communication skills for interacting with drivers, vendors, and other stakeholders

  • Valid driver’s license, with a clean driving record.
