Financial Accountant required with 2 - 3 years post qualification in industry. Based in Oranmore, Co. Galway
Reporting to Financial Controller.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the team of staff within the accounting function
- Reconciliation of all bank accounts
- Preparation of monthly management accounts for Group companies and preparation of annual accounts to trial balance level
- Monitor, control and report on cash function for each division.
- Maintain and improve the internal controls within the accounting function
- Preparation and submission of VAT returns and WEEE returns
- Preparation for year-end statutory audits i.e., Journals, Accruals, Asset Ledger, Reconciliations, etc.
- Payment approval of all staff business expenses submitted
- Administration of company motor fleet insurance, accident reports, claims, etc.
- Various other duties (ad-hoc projects)
Requirements:
- ACCA/CIMA qualification essential
- 2-3 years experience required (experience in a similar industry an advantage)
- Demonstrated experience in people management essential
- Strong knowledge of Windows, Excel and other related software
- Excellent communication skills, initiative and customer focus
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as ability to work on own initiative
