Engineering Assistant

Location: Sligo, Ireland

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Are you looking for a hands-on role in the medical device industry? We are partnering with Arrotek, a leading medical device company that designs and manufactures cutting-edge healthcare products for global markets. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable industry experience, working in a collaborative environment where you’ll support product development, testing, and production processes.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Assist with assembly, testing, and inspection of medical devices in a cleanroom and lab environment.

  • Support engineers and project managers with product development tasks.

  • Help maintain stock levels, material labelling, and inventory records.

  • Update and organise technical documents such as work instructions and batch records.

  • Transfer notes and data from lab books into reports.

  • Coordinate with suppliers to request quotes and track orders.

  • Follow health & safety guidelines and company procedures.

What You Need to Succeed:

  • A technical or engineering-related qualification is a plus, but not essential.

  • Some experience in manufacturing, quality control, or product assembly would be an advantage.

  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

  • Good teamwork and communication skills.

  • Comfortable using Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
